Debbie Doo Wop and Dynamite Dan are Des Moines music teachers that have produced and written 2 children's albums. Come and dance and learn about music in a fun-filled interactive kids music concert!

Andrew Hoyt: Central Iowa Musician. Ukulele and voice.

CO'MOTION DANCE THEATER @ 2:45 P.M.

For the Arts Festival Co’Motion dance Co'Motion Dance Theater will perform fun and family friendly selections from the company's repertoire with titles like "Draidl," "How Sweat It Is," "The Nap," "Slapdash", and "The Blob".

IOWA DANCE THEATRE @ 4:30 P.M.

Iowa Dance Theatre is a unique collaboration of dance professionals and enthusiast. Today's performance includes Tandem Theatre and Dance/Hurley & Dancers, and the IDT Crew presenting original modern work with an earth friendly message.

Nia is a cardio-dance workout, a movement practice, and lifestyle based on the intelligent design of the body.

This local group of eight musicians sing acapella in styles including jazz, folk and contemporary.

YARO DANCE COMPANY @ 11:00 A.M.

The Yaro Dance Company will be performing some ballet and contemporary dance excerpts from our recent Winter Showcase and upcoming performance of Hansel and Gretel. They are also featuring music from our collaborations with Patresa Hartman and Abbie and the Sawyers, both of whom were also selected to perform at the Des Moines Arts Festival.

DES MOINES SYMPHONY'S OH SAY CAN YOU SING COMPETITIONG @ 12:00 P.M.

The Des Moines Symphony invites the public to cheer on contestants at its seventh annual “Oh Say, Can You Sing?” National Anthem singing competition noon on Saturday, June 25 at the Des Moines Arts Festival Performing Arts Stage.

The winner will perform the National Anthem with the Des Moines Symphony at its 23rd Annual Yankee Doodle Pops concert on Friday, July 1 for an anticipated crowd of more than 100,000 at the Iowa State Capitol.

URBANDALE COMMUNITY THEATRE @ 1:30 P.M.

Be Our Guest at the Des Moines Arts Festival! Join us for a preview of our summer production: Disney's Beauty and the Beast. This classic tale tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Will he ever be able to break the spell? Join us July 22-24 and July 28-31. BALLET DES MOINES @ 3:00 P.M.

Ballet Des Moines will have professionals and pre-professionals performing Classical Ballet and Contemporary Ballet.

GATEWAY DANCE THEATRE @ 4:00 P.M.

Gateway Dance Theatre (GDT), is an urban arts multifaceted program to provide quality arts programming. GDT is more than dance! GDT is a family friendly program based on the concept that training in the arts is essential to a complete education. The language of Arts is universal. Music, drama, visual and literary arts are presented with an emphasis on building self-esteem, discipline, awareness and confidence. Gateway Dance Theatre’s presence and active engagement in the community is a catalyst to reach diverse communities to build cultural, leadership and economic relationships.

DMI BREAKERZ @ 4:45 P.M.

The DMI Breakerz will be doing a Breakdancing or Breaking performance! It will consists of the foundation moves and basics along with the powermoves. The crew is consisted of members from Des Moines Social Club's Breakdancing For Kids class, Harding Breakerz, and Movement 515 crew! We will be doing the performance we did for the Turnaround Arts Talent Show that was hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama at The White House. We will also be teaching in between our performances for those who are brave enough to join us on stage and have fun dancing.

SAMSARA @ 6:30 P.M.

LUX @ 7:30 P.M.

Lux is a four member band made of some of Des Moines' finest young women. These talented musicians come together to form a fun blend of love songs, singer/songwriter work, and rock. A delight to people of all ages and music tastes, Lux is an exceptional band that is sure to charm everyone!

KELLY'S CLAN @ 9:00 P.M.

Kelly's Clan revels in the traditional melodies and acoustic instrumentation of the Celtic music genre. This fun-loving band channels the communal feel of an Irish pub on raucous sing-alongs, and delivers the mellow, richly beautiful ballads and stirring rebel songs of the "auld sod." With guitars, mandolin, percussion and horns, the Clan's infectious tunes infuses roots, blues and world music influences, along with the jigs and reels of Ireland into each performance. Based in the Des Moines area, Kelly's Clan is available to add a Celtic musical touch from Eire to inspire "Ol, ceol agus craic" (a good pint, great music and wonderful entertainment) at any event.

SUNDAY ON THE COMMUNITY CHOICE CREDIT UNION PEFORMING ARTS STAGE

Footfall @ 11 a.m.

Footfall is a Minneapolis-based alt country duo that includes Jim Christiansen, Debbie Cushman, six hard-working guitars and a mandolin named Honey. Singing and songwriting is shared, and their cover songs showcase the musicians who have influenced them the most, including Jay Farrar (Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt), Greg Brown, Hank Williams, Sr. and Bob Dylan. With the release of their second album, Whiskey Soaked Heart, Footfall offers Americana listeners the best of the genre: powerful expressions of angst and promises of hope wrapped in bittersweet harmonies.

SALSA DES MOINES @ 12:30 P.M.

MIDWEST VISION DANCE @ 1:30 P.M.

Midwest Vision will have a half hour show of  some high energy hip hop moves showing just some of the various styles of hip hop! Midwest Vision has a couple group routines, and we have some soloists that are going to show off some of their amazing choreography skills. We are ready to bring down the house with a whole of swag.
