Student Art Exhibition
Hubbell Homes, Des Moines Art Center and Des Moines Arts Festival® are proud to host the Student Art Exhibition (SAE). The SAE is a program that spotlights the creativity of children K-12 attending schools in central Iowa through special exhibitions of their work at the Festival and Des Moines Central Library.
Students’ artistic achievements are recognized in a special exhibition on-site at the Festival; at the Visionary Artist Ceremony at the Festival on June 23 at 11:30 a.m.; Student Art Exhibition Reception at the Des Moines Central Library on August 30 at 6 p.m.; and reward them with a Medallion and Des Moines Art Center Household Membership. In addition, participating teachers each receive a household membership to the Art Center and a chance to win one-of-five $250 awards in art supplies.
Teachers, please send the 2018 SAE Parent Letter home with each participating student by downloading and printing the document. Be sure to send home a namecard for each student, and remind them to bring it to the Visionary Artist Ceremony on Saturday, June 23rd at 11:30 a.m.
Applications for the 2018 Student Art Exhibition are now closed. If you have questions about the program, please contact Dani Schmaltz at email@example.com.
